Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Five years managerial event program operations experience
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain by date of hire
  • Ability to obtain a City Operator's Permit within six months from date of hire
  • May be required to work evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Five years managerial event program operations experience
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Event management, marketing or public relations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of event program development and administration
  • Familiarity with municipal budget preparation and administration
  • Understanding of contract negotiation principles
  • Strong public relations skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Job Duties

  • Plan, direct, manage and oversee activities of the Operations Division including security, technical crews and maintenance
  • Coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies
  • Provide administrative support to the Division Manager
  • Oversee visitor experience and event coordination
  • Manage partner and vendor relationships
  • Schedule and supervise on-site staff during events
  • Ensure smooth operation and safety of the facility during events
