Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a telephone
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and bend throughout shift
- Must be willing to work in various climatic conditions including extreme heat and cold
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must be able to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- Must meet requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be able to verbally direct in English
- Must be a US citizen or have authorized INS documentation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in airline or contracted airline services preferably as ticket agent, gate agent, or operations staff
- Strong mathematical problem solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to treat confidential information appropriately
- Customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Reliable transportation and telephone access
- Ability to obtain security sensitive identification badge
- United States citizenship or necessary immigration authorization
Job Duties
- Utilize airline system to plan flight weight and balance
- Determine safe number of passengers based on weight and balance calculations
- Oversee gate functions and pre-boarding/boarding processes
- Ensure on-time departure by coordinating with staff
- Perform supervisory duties including overseeing subordinate employees
- Communicate effectively with employees, passengers, and client representatives
- Maintain safety standards and report hazards or equipment problems
