Job Requirements

  • Treat all information as confidential
  • Possess tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public
  • Ability to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift
  • Willingness and ability to work in extreme climatic conditions including heat, cold, high winds, rain, ice and snow
  • Ability to handle non-routine situations including flight delays, weather and mechanical problems, and passenger assistance
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
  • Ability to verbally direct in English
  • Must be a citizen or have necessary authorization from INS
  • Ability to resolve problem situations with passengers when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Airline or contracted airline services experience preferably ticket agent, gate agent, or ops
  • Mathematical problem-solving skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a telephone
  • Must have reliable telephone and transportation

Job Duties

  • Utilize the airline system to plan flight weight and balance including determining the number of passengers that may safely be boarded given anticipated and actual weight and balance calculations
  • Oversee gate functions and pre-board/boarding process ensuring on-time departure
  • Perform duties of subordinate employees when necessary
  • Monitor employee activity and make adjustments as needed
  • Ensure employees follow all regulations and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with fellow employees, client representatives, and passengers
  • Report safety hazards and equipment problems to management
