Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Airline or contracted airline services experience preferably ticket agent, gate agent, or ops
- Mathematical problem solving skills
- Verbal and written communications skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a telephone
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Treat all information as confidential
- Possess the tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift
- Must be willing and able to work in a variety of climatic conditions to include extreme heat and cold, including high winds, rain, ice and snow
- Must be willing and able to cope with a variety of non-routine situations including early/late flights, weather and mechanical delays, passenger assistance including accommodation/re-accommodation
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must be able to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be able to verbally direct in English
- Must be a citizen of the United States or possess the necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)
- Be able to resolve problem situations with passengers when necessary
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in airline or contracted airline services preferably as ticket agent, gate agent, or operations
- Strong mathematical problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Tactful in dealing with diverse client and employee situations
- Ability to work in various climatic conditions
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively in English
- Must meet security identification badge requirements
- United States citizenship or proper authorization to work
- Capable of resolving passenger-related problems
Job Duties
- Utilize the airline system to plan flight weight and balance including determining passenger load limits
- Oversee gate functions and manage the pre-boarding and boarding processes
- Ensure all flights depart on time meeting operational and regulatory requirements
- Monitor employee activities and make necessary adjustments to maintain compliance
- Communicate effectively with employees, clients, and passengers to resolve issues and provide assistance
- Report safety hazards, equipment problems, and major incidents to management
- Conduct quality assurance audits and maintain accurate records and reports
