Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • must have a telephone
  • must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • able to sit, stand, lift, or bend throughout shift
  • able to work in extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, ice, and snow
  • able to manage non-routine situations including flight delays and passenger accommodations
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • must obtain security sensitive identification badge
  • able to verbally direct in English
  • must be U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • able to resolve passenger issues when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in airline or contracted airline services preferably as ticket agent, gate agent, or operations
  • mathematical problem-solving skills
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to treat information confidentially
  • tactful in dealing with clients, employees, and the public
  • ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
  • authorized to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Utilize airline system to plan flight weight and balance
  • determine safe passenger boarding numbers based on weight and balance calculations
  • oversee gate functions
  • manage pre-boarding and boarding processes
  • ensure on-time flight departures
  • monitor employee activity and make adjustments as needed
  • communicate effectively with staff, clients, and passengers
