Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a telephone
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift
- Must be willing and able to work in extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, ice, and snow
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must meet requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be a citizen of the United States or have necessary lawful authorization
- Must wear proper uniform or business attire and display identification badge
- Must participate in company policies and procedures
- Must maintain training records and attend required meetings
- Must maintain cleanliness and report maintenance needs
- Must utilize company resources cost-effectively
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in airline or contracted airline services preferably as Ticket Agent, Gate Agent, or Operations
- Mathematical problem solving skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to treat information confidentially
- Ability to handle client and public interactions tactfully
- Ability to work in various climatic conditions
- Ability to resolve passenger-related problem situations
- Must be able to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must be able to verbally direct in English
Job Duties
- Utilize airline system to plan flight weight and balance
- Determine safe number of passengers boarding based on weight and balance calculations
- Oversee gate functions and pre-boarding/boarding process
- Ensure on-time departure requirements are met
- Monitor employee activities and make necessary adjustments
- Communicate effectively with employees, clients, and passengers
- Implement safety management system and safety plan for the station
