Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have experience in airline or contracted airline services
- Must possess strong mathematical problem solving skills
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a telephone and reliable transportation
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shifts
- Must be willing and able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- Must be able to verbally communicate in English
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must meet requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be a U.S. citizen or possess appropriate INS authorization
- Must maintain confidentiality
- Must possess tact when dealing with clients, employees, and the public
- Must be able to resolve problem situations with passengers when necessary
- Must adhere to company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in airline or contracted airline services preferably as a Ticket Agent, Gate Agent, or Operations Agent
- Strong mathematical problem solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with tact
- Capability to work under varying climatic conditions
- Ability to resolve passenger issues diplomatically
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English
- Familiarity with company, client, and government regulations
- Knowledge of safety management and quality assurance practices
- Capability to operate communications equipment and maintain records
Job Duties
- Utilize the airline system to plan flight weight and balance including determining passenger boarding capacity
- Oversee gate functions and pre-boarding/boarding process to ensure timely departures
- Monitor employee activities and make adjustments as needed
- Ensure all employees follow company, client, and government regulations and procedures
- Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and passengers including handling inquiries and problem situations
- Report safety hazards and equipment issues to the appropriate management
- Maintain training records and ensure staff compliance
- Implement and participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Conduct quality assurance service audits and maintain operational safety oversight
- Attend required meetings and maintain proper uniform and identification at all times
