Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience working in hotels
- Two additional years in a hotel leadership role
- Ability to coach mentor and build effective teams
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Flexibility to work nights weekends and holidays
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and calmly
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years of hotel experience
- At least two years in a hotel leadership position
- Strong people and communication skills
- Experience in coaching mentoring and teambuilding
- Ability to manage multiple departments within the rooms division
- Proficiency in budgeting forecasting and cost control
- Conflict resolution skills
- Capability to work varying shifts including nights weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Provide guidance and leadership to the rooms division ensuring compliance with hotel policies and quality guest service
- Offer indirect supervision for the entire hotel including policy-making and work program development
- Act as general manager in the absence of the General Manager
- Implement and manage daily quality processes including goal communication associate improvement and service recovery
- Interview hire train evaluate and discipline staff as necessary
- Communicate clearly with staff and assign work to rooms division supervisors
- Monitor hotel occupancy and staffing adjustments supervise cost and inventory controls
- Handle guest complaints by researching solutions and negotiating results
- Supervise budgeting forecasting training motivating and staffing of the rooms department
- Prepare and review forecast expenses and actual results for the rooms division
- Work closely with General Manager to establish and monitor policies and day-to-day operations
- Plan organize and participate in hotel meetings such as staff and rooms division meetings
- Comply with attendance rules and perform other job-related duties as assigned
