- High school diploma required
- six months to one year prior operating room assistant experience preferred
- ability to work night shifts
- ability to work every other weekend
- ability to follow infection control protocols
- strong communication skills
- ability to assist with patient transfers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- six months to one year prior operating room assistant experience preferred
Job Duties
- Deliver and disinfect case carts
- return dirty carts to Central Processing Department
- dock Neptunes for cleaning
- transport dirty scopes and biohazard bins between Cysto and Central Processing Department
- clean and reset operating rooms between cases by wiping equipment and mopping floors
- assist with patient transfers post-surgery
- set up rooms with equipment for upcoming procedures
- dispose of dirty linen and garbage properly
- restock clean linen and replace soiled bags in operating room cores
- restock general supplies such as foam, gloves, masks, specimen cups
- maintain housekeeping carts, mops, buckets, and Formalin
- clean and organize storage areas and equipment
- report broken equipment to appropriate personnel
- make runs to Lab and Blood Bank as needed
- participate in Massive Blood Transfusion Protocol when required
- deliver services efficiently, effectively, and compassionately in alignment with organizational standards
