Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain Heartsaver CPRAED Certification
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to respond to hospital within 30 minutes when on call
- Willingness to work first shift and every third weekend on call
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and patient transport duties
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Heartsaver CPRAED Certification from American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire
- Preferred experience in environmental service
- Preferred experience in acute care inventory supply
- Preferred experience in operating room support
Job Duties
- Transport patients from inpatient, emergency room, ICU departments to pre-op holding area
- Clean operating room suites between surgical procedures
- Support anesthesia staff by stocking anesthesia supplies, cleaning anesthesia machines
- Transport anesthesia machines and carts as needed
- Transport specimens and blood products to and from the lab
- Ensure proper stocking of formalin containers for specimen handling
- Assist in positioning surgical patients under guidance of OR staff
- Prepare operating room by opening sterile supplies onto sterile field, ensure proper equipment availability
