Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 year relevant work experience
- Ability to respond to emergency cleaning requests
- Capable of following AAMI standards for sanitation
- Ability to handle solid and biohazard waste appropriately
- Availability to work Monday through Friday with some call and weekend shifts
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Relevant work experience
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles
- Familiarity with sterilization preparation
- Ability to learn surgical equipment and related devices
- Good communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to emergency requests
Job Duties
- Responds to emergency calls or requests for cleaning services
- Assists in preparing patient rooms for procedures to include cleaning services, sanitation, removing supplies/equipment and transporting special equipment and supply needs based on AAMI standards
- May remove solid and/or biohazard trash
- Delivers sterile supplies and equipment to the Operating Room
- Ensures instrumentation, supplies, and specialty equipment is delivered and available for scheduled procedures
- Performs general cleaning tasks within and outside of patient rooms
- Adheres to safety and sterilization protocols in the operating environment
