Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous restaurant management experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Protects and promotes the Whataburger Brand at all times
  • Consistently completes Orange Guidebook (OGB) and NSF checklist
  • Conducts and attends meetings as required
  • Schedules and conducts LTO training sessions
  • Attends quarterly business meeting
  • Attends GM meetings as necessary
  • Reports critical or unplanned situations to the Area Manager
  • Communicates needs, deviations, and operating data to Area Manager
  • Communicates maintenance needs of revenue producing equipment immediately
  • Ensures compliance of Family Member Guidelines
  • Prepares and presents ideas and recommendations to peers and upper management
  • Prepares standard and special reports for upper management
  • Communicates direction clearly and follows up on actions
  • Demonstrates Whataburger's Family Value Proposition "Pride, Care, and Love"
  • Ensures responsible interviewing, selecting, and placing of candidates
  • Utilizes tools for recruiting and talent selection
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation and schedules new hire training
  • Identifies and trains team members for future leadership roles
  • Maintains staff training and development program
  • Conducts and reviews training certifications
  • Conducts performance reviews and administers disciplinary action when necessary
  • Oversees scheduling based on forecasted sales
  • Recognizes and rewards top performers
  • Maintains professional relationships with team members
  • Communicates harassment complaints and policy violations appropriately
  • Acts as a role model and resource for team members
  • Maintains effective working relationship with management team
  • Performs administrative tasks including payroll corrections and reviews
  • Reviews OGBs and pass-down communications
  • Communicates maintenance issues timely
  • Completes food and supply orders
  • Conducts cash handling audits
  • Ensures deposit and cash handling compliance
  • Investigates cash and inventory losses
  • Conducts quality and food safety audits
  • Tracks performance by meal segment
  • Sets sales goals through marketing and incentives
  • Monitors food quality, customer service, and speed
  • Greets customers and solicits feedback
  • Maintains accurate inventories and orders
  • Implements receiving procedures
