Job Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- one-year related experience preferred
- aptitude for automated mechanical processes
- good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- excellent interpersonal, communication, math and problem-solving skills
- ability to work multiple shifts or schedules

Job Duties
- Put on all required PPE and safety gear
- perform safety checks on equipment and ensure safety devices function properly
- obtain work schedule and daily production priorities from scheduler
- respond and address production issues via telephone, email, or voicemail
- complete shift hand-offs with prior or relieving operators to discuss line issues
- ensure all safety devices meet operational specifications and log data appropriately
- test emergency stops, machine guards, and related devices to comply with Bakersfield Operations Center safety standards
- verify recipe, ingredients and record lot numbers
- set machine controls according to work order and recipe
- use computer controls to pump bulk ingredients to dry blend mixer
- monitor mixing process, take samples, conduct quality tests and email results to lab
- document production details and submit batch and ingredient sheets
- enter data into quality and production databases like SAP and Globe
- rotate duties among mixing, dry blending, receiving, and complete Clean-In-Place (CIP) cycles
- maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment
- secure equipment and complete paperwork at end of shift
- perform general housekeeping as required
