Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or property management
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs
  • availability to live onsite and be on call overnight
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
  • flexibility to manage multiple tasks
  • commitment to excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good organizational and inventory management skills
  • knowledge of safety and emergency procedures

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing outlets or wall switches
  • conducting light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets and unclogging sinks
  • implementing preventative maintenance programs
  • performing public space janitorial work
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • repairing drywall, painting, and caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeeping including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • assisting with checking in and checking out guests during after-hours, providing excellent customer service and addressing any guest needs or concerns
  • regularly being on call overnight for after-hours guest needs
  • performing other duties as assigned
