Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in maintenance or hospitality preferred
  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending, and twisting for long periods
  • capability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to live onsite
  • flexible schedule including overnight on-call shifts
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • good interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in property maintenance or hotel operations preferred
  • knowledge of general maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good communication skills
  • ability to handle emergency situations calmly
  • valid driver's license preferred

Job Duties

  • managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • performing light plumbing work including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
  • conducting preventative maintenance programs
  • performing public space janitorial work
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • performing drywall repair, painting, and caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • providing supply orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers by removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures
  • ensuring security needs of the property and guests
  • assisting with checking in and checking out guests during after-hours
  • providing excellent customer service and addressing guest needs or concerns
  • regularly being on call overnight for afterhours guest needs
  • performing other duties as assigned
