Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in maintenance or hospitality preferred
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending, and twisting for long periods
- capability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- willingness to live onsite
- flexible schedule including overnight on-call shifts
- strong problem-solving skills
- good interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in property maintenance or hotel operations preferred
- knowledge of general maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- good communication skills
- ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- valid driver's license preferred
Job Duties
- managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
- shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
- performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
- performing light plumbing work including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
- conducting preventative maintenance programs
- performing public space janitorial work
- maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
- cleaning PTAC units
- performing drywall repair, painting, and caulking
- maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
- providing supply orders to management
- prepping rooms for housekeepers by removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
- knowing and following property emergency procedures
- ensuring security needs of the property and guests
- assisting with checking in and checking out guests during after-hours
- providing excellent customer service and addressing guest needs or concerns
- regularly being on call overnight for afterhours guest needs
- performing other duties as assigned
