Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or property attendant role preferred
  • ability to perform light electrical and plumbing tasks
  • capable of performing physical activities including lifting up to 50lbs, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, squatting, and standing for long periods
  • availability to live onsite and participate in overnight on-call duties
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • flexible schedule to complete multiple hotel responsibilities
  • willingness to comply with company policies including drug-free workplace standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or property attendant role preferred
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
  • ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks
  • strong organizational skills for managing inventory
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to follow emergency procedures
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks involving climbing stairs, bending, and lifting

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • light plumbing such as plunging toilets, snaking toilets, unclogging sinks
  • performing preventative maintenance programs
  • janitorial work in public spaces
  • parking lot upkeep
  • trash cleanup
  • PTAC cleaning
  • drywall repair
  • painting
  • caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures
  • ensuring security needs of the property and guests are met
  • assisting with checking in and checking out guests during after-hours
  • providing excellent customer service and addressing guest needs or concerns
  • regularly being on call overnight for afterhours guest needs
  • performing other duties as assigned
