Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to live onsite
- availability to work overnight on-call shifts
- experience with basic maintenance and cleaning tasks
- ability to climb stairs and ladders
- ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- reliable and punctual
- flexible to perform a variety of maintenance and housekeeping support duties
- willingness to follow safety protocols and emergency procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role preferred
- demonstrated ability to perform general maintenance tasks
- basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
- strong customer service skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- good physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- familiarity with safety and emergency procedures
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
- shampooing carpets
- cleaning hard surface floors
- performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
- performing light plumbing such as plunging toilets, snaking toilets, unclogging sinks
- performing preventative maintenance programs
- carrying out public space janitorial work
- maintaining parking lot upkeep
- conducting trash cleanup
- cleaning PTAC units
- repairing drywall
- painting
- caulking
- maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
- providing inventory orders to management
- prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
- knowing and following property emergency procedures
- ensuring security needs of the property and guests are met
- assisting with checking in and checking out guests during after-hours
- providing excellent customer service and addressing guest needs or concerns
- regularly being on call overnight for afterhours guest needs
- performing other duties as assigned
