Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in maintenance or janitorial roles preferred
  • ability to live onsite
  • physical ability to climb stairs and ladders repeatedly
  • ability to kneel, squat, sit, stand, bend and twist for long periods
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs
  • willingness to work overnight on-call shifts
  • good communication skills
  • reliable and flexible work availability

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hotel maintenance or property upkeep preferred
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50lbs, climbing stairs and ladders
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • capability to work independently and as part of a team
  • flexibility to handle overnight on-call responsibilities

Job Duties

  • managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets and cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing outlets or wall switches
  • conducting light plumbing tasks including plunging and snaking toilets and unclogging sinks
  • conducting preventative maintenance programs
  • performing janitorial work in public spaces
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • drywall repair, painting, and caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures to ensure security of property and guests
  • assisting with checking in and checking out guests during after-hours
  • providing excellent customer service and addressing guest needs or concerns
  • regularly being on call overnight for afterhours guest needs
  • performing other duties as assigned
