Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Food Handlers Certification compliant with State requirements
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well under stressful, high pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag
  • Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations
  • Comply with certification requirements such as Food Handlers and Safety
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • Have thorough knowledge of menus and preparation according to hotel standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas
  • Complete food and station preparations prior to opening of restaurant or dining outlets
  • Prepare and display buffet food items according to standards
  • Maintain post on kitchen line as required, preparing food to order efficiently and productively
  • Prepare food for Banquets following Banquet Event Orders
  • Prepare food for Associate Cafeteria as specified
  • Follow standard recipes for all food preparation
  • Prepare specials under leadership direction
  • Breakdown buffets and kitchen line properly storing food and equipment
  • Work banquet food stations as scheduled
  • Know location and operation of fire extinguishing equipment
  • Practice safe work habits to avoid injuries
  • Be familiar with hotel policies and emergency procedures
  • Use production charts as specified
  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests and colleagues
  • Operate and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment
  • Maintain "Clean As You Go" policy
  • Assist in storage and rotation of food items following procedures
  • Sign keys in and out under supervision
  • Attend management meetings
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Occasionally interact unsupervised with guests and colleagues
  • Maintain high level of trust and responsibility
  • Represent company with reputation and good character
  • Exercise sound judgement
