Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- graduation from recognized nursing program meeting state requirements
- valid state licensure or certification
- current CPR and AED certification
- completion of FDA-approved training
- minimum two years clinical or hospital experience
- ability to follow SOPs and industry regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
- current state license or certification such as EMT-Paramedic
- current CPR and AED certification
- completion of FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
- minimum two years clinical or hospital experience
- knowledge of plasma collection industry regulations
- ability to manage medical emergencies
Job Duties
- Determine donor eligibility
- manage donor adverse events and medical emergencies
- review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results
- collaborate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs for medical guidance
- support employee vaccination programs
- manage employee incidents with appropriate referrals
- serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized
