Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • graduation from recognized nursing program meeting state requirements
  • valid state licensure or certification
  • current CPR and AED certification
  • completion of FDA-approved training
  • minimum two years clinical or hospital experience
  • ability to follow SOPs and industry regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
  • current state license or certification such as EMT-Paramedic
  • current CPR and AED certification
  • completion of FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
  • minimum two years clinical or hospital experience
  • knowledge of plasma collection industry regulations
  • ability to manage medical emergencies

Job Duties

  • Determine donor eligibility
  • manage donor adverse events and medical emergencies
  • review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results
  • collaborate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs for medical guidance
  • support employee vaccination programs
  • manage employee incidents with appropriate referrals
  • serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized
