Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Current certification as a paramedic
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS certification
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience in OSHA occupational health regulations preferred

Job Duties

  • Work independently without direct or on-site supervision following company policies and protocols
  • Respond to on-site emergency situations and make decisions without supervision
  • Treat all injuries from minor first aides to significant medical events
  • Perform drug and alcohol testing following all policies and procedures of the employer and client
  • Determine need to initiate local emergency medical response to the site
  • Triage patients and assist in determining medical problems, administer IV's and medications
  • Participate in local emergency response coordination
  • Prepare scene for first responders, communicate emergency response needs to the employer and client
  • Communicate urgent needs to increase level of patient care
  • Assist in claims investigation and support return to work program
  • Determine appropriate referral for injuries not able to be treated on site
  • Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens through routine in-house testing procedures, analyze and prepare for testing, and log results
  • Document patient care and procedures utilizing appropriate forms and electronic medical records system
  • Provide reporting and serve as point of contact for client's questions related to work related injuries, treatments summaries, drug test reporting and other requested information
  • Perform other duties as assigned
