Job Requirements

  • No formal education required
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • six months of previous customer service experience required
  • ability to obtain CPR/AED certification within six months of employment
  • must pass a drug test
  • driver license check
  • criminal history background check
  • periodic CJIS background check
  • social security number verification check

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • six months of previous customer service experience required
  • knowledge of parks and recreation policies and procedures
  • knowledge of safety regulations policies and practices
  • knowledge of conflict resolution methods
  • skill in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing
  • skill in completing basic mathematic calculations
  • skill in interacting tactfully and professionally with the public

Job Duties

  • Provides outstanding customer service
  • provides information regarding recreation facilities, programs, events, and memberships
  • assists in monitoring and enforcing policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • registers patrons for recreation programs and memberships
  • advises patrons of available programs and services
  • verifies membership status
  • takes money for programs, memberships, reservations, and point of sale items
  • prepares rooms for program activities, meetings, and events
  • participates in cleaning equipment and facilities
  • restocks and maintains the organization of merchandise for sale
  • performs other duties as assigned
