Job Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Physically able to lift merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • Capable of climbing ladders safely
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
  • Willingness to respond to communication and pick up shifts regularly
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions
  • Completion of Target Welcome orientation and training
  • Active engagement with shift scheduling app
  • Must work at least one shift every 5 months to avoid administrative termination

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail or customer service experience beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with handheld scanners and other technology preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
  • Enthusiastic and helpful attitude toward guests and team members

Job Duties

  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests authentically
  • Observe and understand guest needs through verbal and non-verbal cues
  • Engage with guests to provide tailored assistance
  • Be knowledgeable about products and services to solve guest issues
  • Thank guests warmly and ensure a positive experience
  • Assist guests while completing workload with minimal disruption
  • Work across departments to stock, zone, and maintain sales floor
  • Push and stock products to sales floor
  • Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans
  • Conduct weekly price changes and set promotional signing accurately
  • Complete scans and system audits for inventory accuracy
  • Support execution of major transitions and inventory management programs
  • Maintain store cleanliness and brand standards including garbage and restrooms
  • Execute pulls and replenish backstock and daily fills
  • Process inbound deliveries using inventory systems
  • Complete weekly backroom audits
  • Operate power equipment if certified
  • Maintain backroom organization and follow equipment guidelines
  • Follow processes with attention to detail and prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • Work safely and identify hazards
  • Support guest services including cashiering, order pickup, and Drive-up
  • Perform other duties based on business needs
