Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to pick up and work shifts at least once every 4 weeks
- Capability to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
- Ability to lift or move products up to 44 pounds
- Ability to work in and exposure to varying temperatures and humidity
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Willingness to respond to attempts at contact for shift confirmation
- Successful completion of Target Welcome orientation and training
- Availability to use the myTime mobile scheduling app to select shifts
Job Qualifications
- Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- Attention to detail while multi-tasking
- Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
- Work both independently and with a team
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available to solve guest issues and improve experience
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
- Support guest services such as order pick up, drive up, and registry while ensuring compliance with policies and laws
