Job Requirements
- must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays
- active engagement in picking up and working shifts at least once every four weeks
- reliable and prompt attendance when scheduled
- ability to handle cash and accurately operate register
- physically capable of lifting up to 44 pounds and standing or mobile for the duration of shifts
- ability to adapt to varying temperatures while performing job duties
- willingness to respond to communication attempts from leadership
- participation in required onboarding and training
- legal eligibility to work in the united states
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or customer service experience a plus but not required
- effective communication skills including positive language and attentiveness
- ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- basic technology skills including operating handheld scanners and communication devices
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- knowledge of or willingness to learn about loyalty programs and digital tools
Job Duties
- demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to improve the guest experience
- scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
- minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- promote and assist with Target loyalty programs and digital services
- manage order pick-up, drive-up, and registry guest services
- maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- support cash office processes as needed
- work safely and comply with safety policies
- handle cash register operations accurately
- lift and move merchandise safely
- pick up shifts flexibly, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- comply with all Target policies and procedures
