Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- reliable transportation to and from work
- ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of shifts
- capacity to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
- strong communication skills
- ability to respond promptly to shift offers and work at least one shift every four weeks
- willingness to learn and adapt to store policies and technologies
- compliance with safety standards and ethical practices
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in customer service or retail environment is beneficial
- strong communication skills including use of positive language
- ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
- ability to operate technology such as handheld scanners and scheduling apps
- problem-solving and decision-making skills
- ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- basic cash handling skills
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to solve their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues and improve guest experience
- scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- support order pick up, drive up, and registry guests with easy and accurate service
- maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- stock supplies during store hours while being available for guests
- follow safety policies and report hazards
- support cash office processes as needed
- partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover guest shopping experiences
- promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with guest applications and sign-ups
- educate guests on the Target App features and offerings
- support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to product sales
- perform all other duties based on business needs
