Job Requirements
- Ability to handle cash register operations and cash transactions accurately
- capability to scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently, including lifting up to 44 pounds
- flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays and varying shifts
- ability to respond promptly to communication and commit to working at least one shift every four weeks
- ability to work in varying temperatures and remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
- willingness to attend orientation and training sessions
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior retail or customer service experience preferred
- effective communication skills including positive language and attentiveness to guests needs
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- basic knowledge of technology such as handheld scanners and mobile scheduling apps
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
- thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
- scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
