Job Requirements

  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak times
  • must be able to pick up and work shifts for at least four hours every four weeks
  • reliable and prompt attendance
  • capable of lifting and moving merchandise safely including items up to 44 pounds without assistance
  • ability to remain mobile throughout shifts
  • ability to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions
  • active engagement in shift communications
  • ability to accurately handle cash register operations and transactions

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior retail or customer service experience is a plus
  • effective communication skills including using positive language and being attentive to guests needs
  • ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
  • attention to detail while multi-tasking
  • willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
  • ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
  • ability to work both independently and with a team

Job Duties

  • demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
  • engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store and specific to your area
  • thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
  • scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
