Job Requirements
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak times
- must be able to pick up and work shifts for at least four hours every four weeks
- reliable and prompt attendance
- capable of lifting and moving merchandise safely including items up to 44 pounds without assistance
- ability to remain mobile throughout shifts
- ability to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions
- active engagement in shift communications
- ability to accurately handle cash register operations and transactions
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior retail or customer service experience is a plus
- effective communication skills including using positive language and being attentive to guests needs
- ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- attention to detail while multi-tasking
- willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
- ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
- ability to work both independently and with a team
Job Duties
- demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store and specific to your area
- thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
- scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
