Job Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age
- legally authorized to work in the United States
- ability to communicate effectively in English or Spanish
- availability to pick up shifts regularly every 4 weeks via myTime mobile app
- reliable and prompt attendance
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 44 pounds
- capability to work in varying environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity
- willingness to attend Target Welcome orientation and required training
- active engagement by responding to contact attempts and working shifts
- ability to operate handheld scanners and technology devices as directed
- adherence to safety and company policies
- flexible availability especially during busy times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask effectively
- knowledge of basic technology and mobile apps
- ability to work independently and as part of a team

- ability to handle cash register operations accurately

Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact
- engage with guests in a genuine way, including asking questions to better understand their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience
- thank the guest genuinely and let them know we appreciate their business
- scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time
- promote current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
- assist guests with Target Loyalty programs, applications, and sign-ups
- explain and demonstrate the use of Wallet and Target App features
- handle returns and follow register prompts
- partner with leaders to de-escalate negative situations and recover guest experiences
- deliver easy and accurate service for order pick-up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- work safely to benefit self and others
- support guest services such as order pick up and Drive-up orders
- assist with Cash Office processes including cash management
- perform other duties as needed based on business requirements
