Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- ability to stand or remain mobile throughout the scheduled shift
- capable of lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
- reliable and prompt attendance
- ability to respond to contact attempts and actively pick up shifts
- willingness to undergo training and onboarding
- compliance with all company policies
- must work at least one shift within 5 months to maintain employment
- flexibility to work varying shift hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- capable of working in varied temperature and weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior retail or customer service experience is a plus
- strong communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- proficiency with technology including using handheld scanners and mobile apps
- capable of multi-tasking and maintaining attention to detail
- positive attitude and willingness to engage with guests
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks
- engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to improve guest experience
- scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards
- minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events
- assist guests with Target loyalty programs and store app features
- handle returns and de-escalate situations following company policies
- deliver service to order pickup, drive-up, and registry guests
- maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- stock supplies while being available for guests
- work safely and comply with all safety policies
- support cash office processes as needed
- perform other duties based on business needs
