Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain within two weeks of hire
- Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire
- Valid driver's license with auto insurance and transportation
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire
- Proven volunteer management experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Proven experience managing and engaging volunteers effectively
- Bilingual or bicultural skills in languages such as English/Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian, Asian or African languages preferred
- Excellent organizational, record keeping, time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in team environments and communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Strong problem solving and solution implementation skills
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Office and client data management systems
Job Duties
- Manage the safe and efficient preparation of senior dining services following all relevant procedures and health regulations
- Provide management and oversight of meal preparation including scratch and ethnic cooking for Meals on Wheels and senior dining programs
- Manage and maintain adequate levels of food and non-food items ensuring safety and proper storage
- Establish a positive and welcoming atmosphere for participants and volunteers
- Assist Site Manager with responsive hunger relief services including supplemental meals and partnership meal services
- Assist in training and supervision of kitchen and dining room volunteers
- Maintain high kitchen standards in sanitation and safety and complete administrative tasks as assigned
