Job Requirements
- Availability for various shifts including early mornings, late nights, double shifts, occasional triple and split shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours
- Ability to engage guests with friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of food service and banquet standards
- Ability to perform physical duties including setup and cleanup
- Capability to store equipment properly and maintain clean work environment
Job Qualifications
- Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
- Strong communication skills
- Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
- Understanding of basic room diagrams and seating charts
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant personality and demeanor throughout the function
- Provide food service for banquet events in accordance with hotel and banquet standards
- Setup action stations, cook (simmer, brown, saute), serve patrons at action stations per head chef plate presentation and garnishes
- Setup banquet buffet displays both hot and cold in allotted time
- Maintain food levels at buffet displays
- Engage guests to determine allergies, preferences, and dietary needs and report to banquet leadership
- Apply proper coffee brewing and tea brewing techniques
- Familiar with seating positions and proper serving techniques for plated events
- Complete daily side duties, post-function cleanup, organization, and deep cleaning of work areas
- Attend pre-shift and post-shift meetings with banquet leadership
- Report to banquet leadership for inspection before leaving
- Store all banquet and hotel equipment in accordance with leadership instructions
- Deliver passionate and engaging service following the GUEST service model
