Job Requirements
- Must be able to travel frequently throughout Hampton Roads
- Availability to work on holidays, vacations, and unplanned absences
- Ability to sit for 60 percent of the workday
- Physical ability to walk to teller lines and other coworkers several times daily
- Ability to assist elderly and handicapped customers
- Capability to operate and maintain copy and fax machines
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and perform bending and stooping
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills
- Flexibility and dependability
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service and telephone skills
- Ability to travel frequently within the Hampton Roads area
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Basic computer skills preferred, including knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to type and produce correspondence
- Understanding of bank operations and environment is a plus
- Flexibility to work on short notice and during holidays
Job Duties
- Drive to various branch locations across Hampton Roads to provide coverage
- Work on short notice including holidays, vacations, and unplanned absences
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Welcome and assist members by directing them to appropriate persons or departments
- Operate the main telephone switchboard, transferring calls or taking messages
- Become familiar with bank locations, hours, telephone numbers, and staff to answer routine questions
- Type memos, correspondence, and reports as needed
- Assist branch or department teams with day-to-day duties
- Assist with copy projects and maintain office supplies
- Comply with all applicable federal laws including AML and BSA regulations
