Job Requirements
- Must be able to travel to locations throughout Hampton Roads
- Ability to sit 60 percent of the time
- Ability to walk frequently to assist customers and co-workers
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
- Ability to operate office equipment such as copy and fax machines
- Ability to assist elderly and handicapped customers
- Willingness to work holidays and be on-call for unscheduled absences
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong telephone communication skills
- Flexibility and dependability
- Ability to work on-call including holidays and unscheduled absences
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with Word and Excel
- Ability to travel throughout the Hampton Roads area
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Job Duties
- Drive to wherever needed to fill in at any and all branches and department locations throughout Hampton Roads including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Chesapeake
- Agree to work when called upon including holidays and be available for spur of the moment absences
- Display professional appearance and behavior
- Welcome members to TowneBank, determine their needs and direct them to appropriate person or department
- Operate main telephone switchboard and assist callers by transferring or taking messages
- Become familiar with TowneBank locations, hours, phone numbers and personnel to answer routine questions
- Type memos, correspondence, reports and other documents as needed
- Assist with day-to-day duties and copy projects
- Obey all applicable federal laws and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act
