Job Requirements
- must be 18 years of age or older
- must be able to read and write
- must possess the ability to provide personal care to individuals with disabilities
- must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends
- must have personal transportation
- must be able to pass criminal and child abuse clearances according to DPW regulations
- must support the mission and vision of Voices for Independence
Job Qualifications
- prior experience as a personal care attendant
- assistant CNA or LPN license preferred
- ability to provide personal care to individuals with disabilities
- good communication skills
- willingness to work varied schedules including evenings and weekends
- valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- ability to follow agency policies and procedures
Job Duties
- assist consumers with bathing
- assist consumers with dressing
- prepare meals for consumers
- perform laundry and light housekeeping
- assist with transfers and mobility
- manage medication reminders
- provide transportation and attend appointments
- report concerns related to consumers or home environment
