Job Requirements
- must complete health screenings
- proof of immunizations and/or willingness to receive required vaccinations (e.g., flu, hepatitis B)
- availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in healthcare or commercial cleaning strongly preferred
- knowledge of infection control standards and cleaning procedures in a healthcare setting
- ability to work independently and respond to on-call requests with short notice
- strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and hygiene
- physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
Job Duties
- perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, exam rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and other clinical and non-clinical spaces
- respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests, including biohazard spills and terminal cleaning
- follow strict infection prevention and control protocols, including proper use of PPE and hospital-grade disinfectants
- safely handle and dispose of medical and general waste
- replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and sanitizers
- document tasks completed and report any maintenance or safety issues
- collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to ensure cleaning needs are met efficiently and respectfully
