Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in event coordination, volunteer management, or related field
  • Ability to work irregular schedules including weekends and some weeknights
  • Valid California State Driver's License and reliable vehicle
  • Strong problem-solving skills and quick thinking
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse audiences
  • Commitment to confidentiality and independent judgment
  • Must reside in the Bay Area
  • Ability to move supplies and equipment up to 30 pounds
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions at outdoor venues

Job Duties

  • Pick up and transport event materials from KEXP office to event location using a reliable vehicle
  • Manage all on-site event logistics including setup, breakdown, display of materials, coordination with event organizers, and problem-solving
  • Lead and support event volunteers by assigning tasks and ensuring a positive experience
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador for KEXP’s mission and programming
  • Liaise with Advancement Team before and after events to confirm details and provide reports
  • Document event activities including attendance and notable interactions
  • Manage point of sale transactions for KEXP merchandise as needed
