Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum of two years customer service experience
- understanding of dental clinic operations
- knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- ability to handle money accurately
- proficiency in scheduling and patient communication
- ability to organize and maintain patient records
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- flexibility to travel to other locations as needed
- reliable and predictable attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- post-secondary coursework desirable
- minimum of two years customer service experience preferred
- experience in medical, dental, or healthcare setting highly desirable
- strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance procedures
- ability to demonstrate educational requirements through electronic exam
- ability to demonstrate case presentations to managing doctor and practice manager
Job Duties
- Oversee the daily schedule
- seek opportunity to maximize scheduling efficiencies
- maintain awareness of schedule changes and correct scheduling errors
- understand payment methods and communicate fee requirements to patients
- collect and document payments for dental services
- handle monies responsibly and reconcile payments
- complete and forward necessary accounting forms and deposit slips
- update patient cards and verify insurance information
- schedule treatment as directed by clinicians
- organize and prepare patient charts
- perform chart maintenance and duplication
- build rapport with patients by providing treatment information and addressing questions
- provide statement of services at each visit
- open and close the clinic
- maintain a neat and clean reception area
- partner with clinical team to enhance understanding of dental procedures and communicate provider expectations
- triage emergency and unplanned treatment calls
- schedule and reinforce recalls and referrals
- adhere strictly to PPE policy
- travel to other locations as needed
- maintain reliable attendance
