Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior culinary or kitchen experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and safety
  • Ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Possess or obtain Food Handler certificate

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience within a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company preferred
  • Basic knife skills
  • Ability to handle kitchen equipment
  • Use a Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Possess or be willing and able to obtain Food Handler certificate, as required
  • Must possess a valid and current driver’s license, where applicable

Job Duties

  • Assist in preparing all types of food while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area
  • Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotational practices
  • May assist kitchen attendant as needed
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with culinary team to meet daily meal preparation goals
  • Support inventory control and kitchen organization
