Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food preparation preferred
  • basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation
  • ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts
  • physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift moderate weights
  • willingness to obtain necessary food handling certifications
  • valid driver's license where applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience within a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company preferred
  • basic knife skills
  • ability to handle kitchen equipment
  • use a Point of Sale (POS) system
  • possess or be willing and able to obtain Food Handler certificate as required
  • must possess a valid and current driver's license where applicable

Job Duties

  • Assist in preparing all types of food while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area
  • assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotational practices
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • support kitchen attendant as needed
  • handle kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • use a Point of Sale (POS) system as required
  • comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations
