Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food preparation preferred
- basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation
- ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts
- physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift moderate weights
- willingness to obtain necessary food handling certifications
- valid driver's license where applicable
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience within a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company preferred
- basic knife skills
- ability to handle kitchen equipment
- use a Point of Sale (POS) system
- possess or be willing and able to obtain Food Handler certificate as required
- must possess a valid and current driver's license where applicable
Job Duties
- Assist in preparing all types of food while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area
- assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotational practices
- maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
- support kitchen attendant as needed
- handle kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- use a Point of Sale (POS) system as required
- comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations
