Job Requirements

  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced kitchen environment
  • strong kitchen organizational skills
  • ability to compose and refine accurate prep lists and order guides for weekly changing menus and catering menus
  • ability to foster a collaborative and uplifting team environment
  • exceptional knife skills
  • basic computer knowledge including email, Google Sheets, Docs, Word, Excel, Slack
  • ability to use sound judgement and objectively assess situations to make effective decisions
  • able to work standing for extended periods
  • able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to work hourly at $28.00 - $33.00 per hour for up to 40 hours per week

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in varied kitchen leadership positions
  • at least 3 years experience in a similar capacity
  • proficiency in verbal, written, and digital communication
  • ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room staff, and guests
  • demonstrated excellence in guest service skills including reliability, consistency, and courtesy

Job Duties

  • Create weekly cost-efficient menus that are seasonally inspired and broadly appealing
  • provide input and support for chefs and line cooks preparing and serving food to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards
  • consult and offer feedback to kitchen personnel
  • assist in scheduling, evaluating, and providing constructive feedback to kitchen staff
  • provide ongoing training in safety, cleanliness, sanitation, food preparation, and guest services
  • manage ordering, receiving, and storage of food and kitchen supplies according to budget and procedures
  • oversee cost containment through effective menu selection and product utilization
