Job Requirements
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced kitchen environment
- strong kitchen organizational skills
- ability to compose and refine accurate prep lists and order guides for weekly changing menus and catering menus
- ability to foster a collaborative and uplifting team environment
- exceptional knife skills
- basic computer knowledge including email, Google Sheets, Docs, Word, Excel, Slack
- ability to use sound judgement and objectively assess situations to make effective decisions
- able to work standing for extended periods
- able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- willingness to work hourly at $28.00 - $33.00 per hour for up to 40 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in varied kitchen leadership positions
- at least 3 years experience in a similar capacity
- proficiency in verbal, written, and digital communication
- ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room staff, and guests
- demonstrated excellence in guest service skills including reliability, consistency, and courtesy
Job Duties
- Create weekly cost-efficient menus that are seasonally inspired and broadly appealing
- provide input and support for chefs and line cooks preparing and serving food to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards
- consult and offer feedback to kitchen personnel
- assist in scheduling, evaluating, and providing constructive feedback to kitchen staff
- provide ongoing training in safety, cleanliness, sanitation, food preparation, and guest services
- manage ordering, receiving, and storage of food and kitchen supplies according to budget and procedures
- oversee cost containment through effective menu selection and product utilization
