Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • TIPS trained
  • ability to work on-call with flexibility in schedule
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to health and safety regulations
  • good interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work independently and efficiently
  • meet pre-employment background screening requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • strong attention to detail
  • TIPS trained
  • one to three years of progressively responsible experience in restaurant, college, or cafe-style food service preferred
  • Rhode Island sanitation or ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Set up, serve, and break down catering events
  • set dining tables and buffet tables with china, flatware, glassware, and linens
  • run food from designated kitchen area to dining area on demand
  • set buffets with food presentation standing and practice in mind
  • ensuring safe food handling
  • serve beverages and food items tableside to the guest
  • prepare alcoholic and non alcohol beverages while keeping a clean bar area
  • interact with customers and staff in a pleasant and professional manner
  • assist in keeping clean working area
  • ensure that all health code procedures are followed
