Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Have a bartender's license to work in this position
- Completion of alcohol awareness or safety class as required by state or local law
- State-certified proper food handling certification
- Prior experience in a restaurant or bartender role in a full-service environment
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possession of a bartender's license valid in the working state
- Prior restaurant, bartender, or lounge experience in a full-service restaurant or beverage venue
- Background in the service industry is a plus
- State or local certification upon completion of alcohol awareness/safety and proper food handling classes
Job Duties
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times
- Greet guests immediately and recommend items/drinks you genuinely feel guests will enjoy
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in the point-of-sale system
- Maintain bar area including keeping the bar top/counters and well area neat and organized, ashtrays emptied and wiped out, dirty cocktail glasses removed, washed and sterilized
- any napkins, coasters, straws or discarded garnishes cleaned up
- Be aware of guests' rate of consumption of alcohol and its effect and take immediate corrective action
- Help guests while protecting the interest of Kalahari Resorts and its associates
