Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 to 6 months of related experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- ability to stand and/or walk for long periods
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently
- flexible and long hours sometimes required
- compliance with grooming and uniform standards
- availability to work varied schedules based on hotel needs
- adherence to safety procedures and hotel regulations
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- ability to interpret and perform basic math functions
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions
- ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables
Job Duties
- Serve food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional and timely manner
- attend all designated pre-event meetings
- understand and read Banquet Event Orders including room diagrams
- gather and coordinate all necessary equipment for banquet events
- maintain clear and obstruction-free service corridors
- perform all banquet sitework as designated by the Banquet Captain or Manager
- efficiently execute all service standards to promote safe and efficient operations
