Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods and move around the bar area
  • Ability to lift and carry items, such as bottles and kegs, up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in a loud, crowded, and fast-paced environment
  • Certification in alcohol service may be required depending on local regulations
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous bartending experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bartending experience, particularly in a banquet or event setting, is preferred
  • Experience in customer service and cash handling is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and bar equipment
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Alcohol Service Certification (preferred)
  • Food Safety and Sanitation certification may be required

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and event specifications
  • Mix, garnish, and serve drinks efficiently, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
  • Make beverage recommendations based on guest preferences or event theme
  • Greet guests in a friendly, professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere
  • Take drink orders from guests at the bar or through event staff, ensuring timely and attentive service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including countertops, shelves, and storage
  • Serve alcohol in compliance with legal drinking age laws and company policies
  • Assist in setting up the bar area for special events, ensuring all supplies and equipment are in place
  • Monitor inventory levels for alcoholic beverages, mixers, and bar supplies
  • Work effectively with other bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure smooth event operations
