Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior food and beverage service or bartending experience preferred
Proficiency with computerized point-of-sale systems
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Basic math skills including addition and percentages
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays
Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds overhead, and handle hot/chilled items
Maintain a clean and crisp uniform
Consistent punctuality and reliability

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired but not essential
Previous related experience preferred including food and beverage service, bartending, or hospitality
Comfort in computerized environments essential
Ability to read and write in English
Perform basic mathematical calculations such as adding and percentages
Effective communication skills with customers using tact and diplomacy
Ability to work collaboratively with culinary and foodservice teams
Excellent verbal and telephone skills
Capacity to remain calm and organized during periods of multiple demands
Ability to follow directions accurately and efficiently

Job Duties

Provide a high level of service to hotel guests and clients in the food and beverage areas
Ensure compliance with state and county ABC laws and regulations
Handle cash and payment procedures maintaining accountability for revenues
Monitor alcohol consumption and protect guest safety and hotel liability
Maintain sanitary conditions of bar, utensils, and equipment
Set up bar and stations according to hotel and brand standards
Order, pick up, and serve food items as ordered from current menu
