Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior food and beverage service or bartending experience preferred
  • Proficiency with computerized point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills including addition and percentages
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds overhead, and handle hot/chilled items
  • Maintain a clean and crisp uniform
  • Consistent punctuality and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired but not essential
  • Previous related experience preferred including food and beverage service, bartending, or hospitality
  • Comfort in computerized environments essential
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations such as adding and percentages
  • Effective communication skills with customers using tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to work collaboratively with culinary and foodservice teams
  • Excellent verbal and telephone skills
  • Capacity to remain calm and organized during periods of multiple demands
  • Ability to follow directions accurately and efficiently

Job Duties

  • Provide a high level of service to hotel guests and clients in the food and beverage areas
  • Ensure compliance with state and county ABC laws and regulations
  • Handle cash and payment procedures maintaining accountability for revenues
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and protect guest safety and hotel liability
  • Maintain sanitary conditions of bar, utensils, and equipment
  • Set up bar and stations according to hotel and brand standards
  • Order, pick up, and serve food items as ordered from current menu
