Job Requirements

  • Maintain the highest standards by adhering to company and departmental standards
  • minimum of one-year bartending experience in a high-volume full-service environment
  • knowledge of food and beverage including wine and food pairing techniques
  • excellent communication skills
  • valid Washington State Class 12 Alcohol Service Permit
  • valid Washington State Food Handler's Permit
  • ability to walk, stand, reach, and lift throughout the entire shift
  • ability to lift 25 lbs over one shoulder using a large oval tray
  • typical shift length of approximately 6-8 hours
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • knowledge of Chihuly Garden and Glass policies and procedures
  • knowledge of fire, safety, and life procedures
  • ability to promote a positive and professional attitude
  • proper declaration of hours worked in tip sheet log at shift end

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year bartending experience in a high-volume full-service environment, preferably in a banquet setting
  • very good knowledge of food and beverage including wine and food pairing suggestive techniques
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • valid Washington State Class 12 Alcohol Service Permit
  • valid Washington State Food Handler's Permit
  • professional demeanor and ability to work well with others

Job Duties

  • Sets all bars in accordance with the function on that particular shift
  • exhibit full knowledge of drink recipes, wines and beers
  • provide exceptional guest service
  • maintain highest standards in work area organization and cleanliness
  • accurately pour wine and liquors as per portions set by management
  • ensure beverages are served with correct presentation
  • thorough and complete teardown of remote bars, leaving all areas clean and ready for reset at the end of events
  • accurate counting of liquor, beer and wine at the conclusion of functions to ensure proper billing
  • accurate cash reconciliation when event bars are on a cash basis
  • perform any other duties deemed necessary by banquet management
