Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in the Spring term at the University of Oklahoma
  • attach Spring 2026 class schedule
  • maintain a GPA of 2.5
  • ability to move and setup furniture and electronics up to 40 lbs
  • frequent and repetitive arm and wrist movement
  • regular exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods
  • frequent contact with other departments and university officials
  • ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, and operate a computer and telephone

Job Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a student for the Spring term at the University of Oklahoma
  • must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • good understanding of general office procedures and clerical tasks
  • basic computer skills, with training provided on specific programs
  • experience working in a visible position in a high traffic environment preferred
  • previous customer service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Staff the OMU Welcome Center
  • greet visitors and customers via phone and in-person in a courteous manner, determining their needs and directing them appropriately
  • provide day-of event service needs including ensuring accuracy of room and services setup, provide A/V assistance, and monitor large events
  • complete frequent building rounds to ensure cleanliness and upkeep, reporting any issues
  • assist with clerical duties for the Oklahoma Memorial Union and Campus Scheduling
  • operate the Lost & Found program at the Oklahoma Memorial Union
  • attend regular student staff meetings and training sessions
  • work special event shifts as needed
  • perform related duties as assigned
