Job Requirements
- Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and B Class with Passenger Endorsement with S (School Bus)
- Complete a 90-Day Working test period successfully
- Be capable of driving vehicles safely and efficiently
- Ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Demonstrate good communication skills
- Ability to maintain discipline among passengers
- Undergo any necessary background and health checks
- Willingness to learn and use electronic/manual recording systems
Job Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and B Class with Passenger Endorsement with S (School Bus)
- Knowledge of the care, maintenance, and safe operation of vehicles
- Knowledge of State Motor Vehicle regulations
- Ability to analyze vehicle operation problems
- Ability to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written directions
- Ability to perform tasks after explanations and demonstrations
- Skilled and safe driving ability
- Ability to check, clean, service, and make minor and emergency repairs
- Ability to keep records and files
- Ability to utilize various electronic and manual recording systems
- Ability to communicate effectively in English or acceptable alternative such as American Sign Language or Braille
- Eligibility to perform essential job functions with reasonable accommodations if applicable
Job Duties
- Drive motor vehicle and transport persons on established routes and to various destinations
- Check, clean, and perform minor servicing of vehicles
- Check vehicles for operating safety and gas, oil, battery, and water levels before departure
- Provide assistance to passengers onto and off vehicles
- Maintain discipline among persons
- Assist passengers in loading and unloading baggage and packages from vehicle
- Prepare reports and maintain log of vehicle operation
- Learn to utilize various types of electronic and manual recording and information systems
- Perform other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor
