Job Requirements

  • Legal ability to work in the US

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate
  • Minimum two years hosting experience preferably in hotel or upscale establishment
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Positive, outgoing, and friendly personality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
  • Ability to work productively with other departments as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Knowledge of the resort’s philosophy and practices
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand and entrance
  • Manage reservation book, confirm reservations and update waitlists
  • Monitor dining room environment and anticipate guest needs
  • Enforce hotel standards, policies, and safety procedures
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly while notifying management
